I am worried that if we start using chagbots to service our customers, we might be losing the human touch and our customers might prefer other companies instead.

Yes, it can be if chatbots are used as a wall instead of a doorway. Customers usually get frustrated when bots block access to real people. But if chatbots handle simple, repetitive questions and smoothly hand over to humans when needed, they can actually improve the experience.
